From what i understand no-one yet.....it will be decided on 23rd April. At the moment it looks like MSZP will win (1st govt. to hold two successive terms since 1989). Fidesz are desperate to ally with MDF, their only hope at possibly winning the election....but MDF are refusing to play. This is leading to lots of strange/desperate behaviour from Fidesz (Viktor offering to stand down etc) but the MDF are not budging. The last i heard the MDF will wait until the eve of the 23rd before letting Fidesz know of their plans!!

However there is another round on April 23rd?? So no-one has officially won yet??
In the UK, the election is a drawn out process but at least you know who won on the evening!!

We had the 2nd round this Sunday - and we still don't know who won officially. This year voting abroad has been arranged in a rather confusing manner (it might even be next Sunday, I'm not quite sure) anyway we have to wait another week to get the final results in all the districts in which foreign votes are expected. Although it's quite clear that the MSZP-SZDSZ coalition (former) government has the lead, still the final results will be intresting, there is a chance that the MSZP might have an absolut majority in which case they won't need the SZDSZ to form the new government.

I'm just wondering, has anybody seen the final results of the Hungarian elections? Because I didn't Shocked
All I can find are the estimated results: http://index.hu/politika/belfold/2006/valasztas/patko/

Has the whole process taken so long that nobody could be bothered in the end to publish the results? Or are there still some scandals going on that I'm not aware of? I know it was a question whether the second round had to be repeated in Kecskemét because somebody was spreading confusing leaflets saying that the candidate for the MSZP thanks everybody for having helped him to win the elections as if it were needless to participate in the second round. But as far as I know the supervising committee decided that this wasn't such a great offence that would call for repeating the elections in Kecskemét.

So which electoral district are we still waiting for???

confused

Hi Alice , yes , you are correct. The election was won by Tony Blair. Cheap glasses , four children , glib style and no morals.
Eye have inside information. All the Eurozone P.M.s are being cloned. Check out Italy?....but............at least we can all listen to tecno music...........if we want to.
