Szia,

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any VERY VERY VERY cheap hostels that accept dogs in Budapest. I am looking for the cheapest of the cheap (I don't care about quality). How much would a one star double room normally cost?

Can dogs travel on trains in Hungary/Budapest? What about in other forms of transport such as taxi's and trams?

My dogs are not under 6kg, one is medium sized.

Please help me, any info about moving around Budapest with dogs would be great.

We are a family with a three month old baby from western Slovenia. We are familiar with our neighbouring countries Italia, Austria and Croatia quite well. But we would like to get to know a little bit more also Hungary which is for us a little bit unknown.

What trip and destinations would you recommend us for a 3-5 day visit at the end of this summer? We intend to use a car and would like to have a peaceful but also sightseeing visit and if it is possible also with some ...

Hi....I am a frequent visitor of Budapest, through work, which means I very rarely get to get out and about in the evenings.

Here is my dilema, I recommended Budapest as a location for my friends bachelor party, and we're booked up to come this weekend, and I need to come up with a list of bars / clubs to go to. Now, I know a few places but really could do with some help on places to visit, like listening to r&b, soul, dance, anything other than hard core dance / trance music.

Any suggestions ...

The Labyrinth has a very special, half spooky half mythical atmosphere. The dimly lit chambers have different themes with different accompanying music which all ads up to a thrilling experience. There is a relatively big Vasarely exhibition at III., Szentlélek tér 6. It's on the Buda side of the bridge Árpád.

Best way to get there is to take the HÉV (green subtrain starts underground at Batthány tér next to the red metro) or tram 1 and get off at the Buda side of the bridge Árpád (Árpád híd).

Open: 10am-6pm Mar 15-Oct 31; 10am-5pm Nov 1-Mar 14.

Admission was free in summer but I wouldn't bet my head on it.

Victor Vasarely, famous painter, was in fact Hungarian ...

I was looking for the new official parking fees as from 1st January 2006. I've heard the tariffs might go down but was a bit sceptic so I had a look around. It's always hard to believe that something should get cheaper. I personally don't think it will, and I didn't see any signs ...
