How to insert images

You can only insert images hosted on the Internet. If you want to insert an image from an existing site: right click on the image -> properties -> copy the URL link -> paste it into message body like this:
http://img336.imageshack.us/img336/8131/parlament20057zs.jpg

Now highlight the inserted link and choose the image button. You will see this:

http://img336.imageshack.us/img336/8131/parlament20057zs.jpg" border="0" alt="" />

(I deliberately inserted a space so as to be able to view the format. Which goes to show that you should take care not to highlight an extra space.)

To make sure it's working, you can choose preview before submitting your message.

This is how it will look like:

If the image is stored on your computer you will need to upload it to a webpage first. If you don't have a webpage of your own you can use Imageshack, which is a free image hosting site. By clicking on the "Insert an image" button you will be directed to Imageshack. When you finished uploading your image the direct link of your image will be displayed among many other links (it's the last one). Copy it to the message body and convert it to an image as described above.

Good luck
Alice

How to insert links

Just by copying a link into the message body it will normally be converted automatically into a fully functional link:

http://budapest.forumactif.com/
(If the editor doesn't recognise your link, you have to highlight it and click on the "link" button)

However you might find it more attractive to insert a link without actually displaying the link.
For example you can make http://budapest.forumactif.com/ to look like this: Budapest forum

All you have to do is copy the link into the message body, highlight it, click on link, you will see:

{url]http://budapest.forumactif.com/
(I replaced the first [ with a { so you may see it as a text)

now delete ] from and replace it with a =
insert a ] between the link and

now you have something like
insert the text you want to appear between ] and [

like this: {url=http://budapest.forumactif.com/]Budapest forum
(again I replaced the first [ with a { so you may see it as a text)

And the result is: Budapest forum

Not so hard, is it?

I'd love to help but I'm not sure I can. Are you using Windows? Which version?

In the mean time you can use the Hungarian Keyboard editor I've put on the main page and copy the text wherever you want to.

I'm going to use this term - I just love to see bewilderment and sincere worrying mingle in the eyes of my close relatives Wink
