A plane was taking off from Kennedy Airport. After it reached a comfortable cruising altitude, the captain made an announcement over the intercom:

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. Welcome to Flight Number 293, nonstop from New York to Los Angeles. The weather ahead is good and therefore we should have a smooth and uneventful flight. Now sit back and relax...'Oh my God!'"

Silence followed and after a few minutes, the captain came back on the intercom and said, "Ladies and Gentlemen, I am so sorry if I scared you earlier, but while I was talking, the flight attendant brought me a cup of coffee and spilled the hot coffee in my lap. You should see the front of my pants!" Mad

A passenger in economy piped up: "That’s nothing. He should see the back of mine!" Embarassed

Hi GA,

I was raised on a diet of rugby - typical South African - yet I have now had my eyes opened to a real sport - soccer!

Yes, I am enjoying it and I cannot wait to get home to watch replays and matches live!

I am more of a reality, documentary type person - with a real good movie thrown in for spice - but this soccer is really unbelievable - still trying to understand the rules... but enjoying every minute!!

I wish I was in Germany at this time! pertu

(And just a word about the joke about the English speaking guy - I did it to see what reaction I would get. I lived for a number of years in Namibia (then the old German South West Africa - had a genuine "bushman" youngster as a friend) and was taught by German Nuns - have forgotten the language, but still have many German friends here in SA.)
