Thanks for the welcome. I am writing a biography of General Harry Bandholtz, who was an American Officer, in Budapest during 1919-1920. He was instrumental in preventing the looting of the National Museum, during Oct 1919, and some of his artifacts were left at the museum. I wonder if any of those items are in public viewing areas. I have tried email to the museum, but no replies?? My wife and I will be visiting Budapest during April 2008, and would love to learn more about his history there. All suggestions are welcome.
