PostSubject: Hello from Sweden   Sun 5 Nov 16:04

Hi everyone!

This Winter I´ll be in Budapest for 13 weeks. I’ve got a Leonardo grant for a full time work placement in January or February.

I´ve been trying get an idea of what living in Budapest is like. There´s a lot of facts about Budapest available on the net but it´s not the same as getting a feel of the city. I found this forum, read a few posts and decided to join. It seems that not only expatriates but also Hungarians are part of this forum. I like that. I’d like to meet the people of Budapest, first via this forum and then in person.

From what I seen on the net I understand there is a lot happening in Budapest. So far there are a few things that have caught my interest already; Concerts, museums, parties, events, the park where obsolete soviet sculptures are displayed and also the Chinese market.

I’ve also tried to learn some Hungarian on my own. But don’t expect any miracles, ok.

So basically! I’d love to get in touch with people living in Budapest. Take care everyone!

Üdvözlettel

Hi Zsuzsanna and DaneAngel and thanks for making me feel welcome. I’m not exactly sure when I´ll be going to Budapest, only that it’ll be either in January or February and for 13 weeks. The Leonardo Grant is like a scholarship from the EU. Sort of like Erasmus, but in my case I´ll have a work placement. The details aren´t exactly clear yet. But I am going to Budapest for sure.

Hot wine (glögg in Swedish) sound like a good way of getting by during those cold winter months. I’ll stay updated.

Szervusz y´all!

Thanks Alice and Bill.

Zsuzsanna: I jut got an idea. I´ll post a recipe how to make your own glögg in another section.

Now I have booked the flight with Wizzair. I´ll be in Budapest the first of February.

See you all in the next year.
